Halfway through February already? If you are like me, you are looking back now and assessing progress on those New Year's resolutions. I find that taking that first step is always the hardest. Maybe it's because I know that once I start a project, I am tenacious about seeing it through.

Right now, with all the spring art show deadlines approaching, I'm thinking about a slew of new beginnings - paintings that are composing themselves in my head right this very moment.
