Two of my paintings were juried into the annual Salmagundi Spring Auction! This is a great place to see work by amazing artists, and also support the club with any purchases.
Salmagundi Club is home to the oldest continuous art auction in New York, held each spring and fall since the late 1870’s. In the past, the historic auctions, along with pledges from patron members, brought in enough money to purchase the beautiful building that the Salmagundi Club calls home today. The auctions are and always have been an integral part of the club as a fundraising effort.
The live auction, held in Salmagundi’s skylight gallery, will be divided into two evenings:
a session on Thursday, May 23rd
and another on Friday, May 31st,
both at 7:30 PM.
Those who cannot be there in-person will have the option of registering their bids via the online LiveAuctioneers platform.
A preview of the auction works will be available to see in our Rockwell gallery beginning Monday, May 6th.
