Prodigal Summer

Prodigal Summer celebrates relationships, and how nature and its creatures are metaphorically human in many cases. Love is complicated, but it is built on trust and friendship (the yellow rose), shared strengths (the cotton) and transformation, rebirth, and the fleeting beauty of life (the moths.)

I am inspired by the work of the Golden Age master painters who use symbolism to tell stories in their works. Prodigal Summer is my homage to them, and to the novel which I enjoy reading, and to loving relationships everywhere.
