If you know this city well, you may know where I got the references for this painting. Hint - I was at a window table in a revolving restaurant. It was so beautiful. We were there at the golden hour, as the sun was setting.
But, I don't like to tell people where my paintings are located, at first. Often, they will have their own stories and memories, and my work starts a narrative that takes them to such sweet places in their heads. If I say, "No - the location is actually xxx" it squashes that narrative immediately. Does it matter where this was? I would argue that art should be flexible. Sure, the artist starts the first few chapters, but the viewers get to write the rest of the book!
