The bookstores in Europe are stories onto themselves. The history and conversations - if the walls could talk, I'd be there for centuries.
Quite often, there is no signage outside. You have no way of knowing what's inside. Those are the best. They are places the locals have been frequenting for eons. You can feel the audacity - a business that dares to succeed even without flashy marketing.
I didn't sign this piece - in keeping with the narrative, but also because I think my signature on it would have been a distraction. Maybe someday it will end up in someone's collection and they will try to guess at who painted it and why.
