I saw this frame, made by a fellow artist and being sold by one of the artists I admire most. I knew right away that the painting I was working on belonged in it. It was one of those moments when the universe was running the show and I was just along for the ride. This frame has a unique construction in that the painting is presented 3 inches forward from the back of the frame - kind of like a "slam" delivery of a text message.

It's about the wisdom that comes from genetics, age, education, and how it serves us in life. I know so many people who are emotionally, spiritually, and common sense-wise way more intelligent than I am, even though they never pursued formal education. In truth, I've forgotten 99.9% of what I was taught at The University of Michigan. I only retain the stuff that is useful to me. Life feels like that. 62 year old me doesn't ever need to use Pythagoras' theorem again. BUT, if I lack in social skills, it will cost me dearly in the pursuit of my goals. I better remember those.
