I love the small town streets in America that invite us to slow down. Really, what are we doing that is worthy of the speed we need during only emergencies? Yet most of us move at a fast pace for the majority of the day. This corner in an Appalachian mountain town makes me slow down every time. It's as if the clock is speaking to me, saying "I'm here. I'm moving at a constant speed, and no matter how quickly you move, you can't outrun ME. So breathe. Slow down. Enjoy your moment."
