At American Frontier Production in Easton, Kansas, the nicest group of people and history enthusiasts gather to offer photo opportunities of late 18th century reenactments. I was thrilled to attend one of their 3 day photo shoots, and each morning, this model, Jesse, was there to greet us while he warmed by a fire and sipped his morning coffee. Something about this scene warms my heart, and I think it's because it is just a peaceful moment of contemplation we should all try to have each morning. Fire is mesmerizing, and sitting in front of one makes me feel energized.
