Small groups or mentoring groups can be a valuable part of an artist's career plan. The life of an artist is solitary so much of the time. Having 3 to 6 artists working together to achieve common goals results in collaborations and lifelong friendships.
I am thrilled to be part of
We came together in 2013 in the spirit of business and friendship, and we have been encouraging each other ever since. Here are some of the things we've done:
- Traveled to Charleston, Venice, Tokyo
- Spoke on podcasts: December 2015 and August 2016 we were on Leslie Saeta's Artists Helping Artists, and in 2016 we were on Artist Network's AMO Art Chats hosted by Linda Fisler
- Shared critiques, advice, experience
- Show in 2014 at Lowcountry Artists Gallery in Charleston, SC
These are some of the things we are going to do:
- Retreat in Montreal
- March 11 to April 15 we have a show at the Waterworks Art Museum in Montana
- July and August of 2018 we have a show at Customs House Museum in Clarksville, TN
We meet online every month in Google Hangouts and we have a private Facebook group that we communicate in daily. We hope you will consider doing this too. And when you do, please let us know.
