Hyper realism in miniature - Small Realistic Paintings that fit in your palm...
Miniature Art
"Miniature Art" refers to a fine art form that dates back centuries. The pieces are typically small enough to hold in one hand, and are created with very fine brush strokes, under magnification. This allows the art to be magnified - even projected onto a movie screen - and still it holds up as a fine art painting. Historically, scribes would create elaborate manuscripts, and later artists were commissioned to paint hyperrealistic portraits that fit into lockets. Contemporary miniature art is created with the same attention to detail. To fully experience this intimate art form, you must hold it close. Hopefully, there will be a magnifying glass nearby so you can enjoy the nuances not seen with the naked eye. You can imagine the skill and patience it takes to create fine art that meets these requirements.
