My passion has always been art, and I have been painting commissions since I was in high school.  I have a degree in biochemical engineering, and I worked designing pharmaceutical facilities for 15 yrs.  Then, I focused on raising our 3 children.  Now they are teens, and I am able to paint almost daily.  I believe my engineering background has influenced my artwork.  I enjoy painting in a photo-realistic style.

The world of miniature fine art is my passion.  If you'd like to learn more about it, you may visit the Association of Miniature Artist's website.   I also like to create small format art, and occasionally I'm lucky enough to be able to paint a mural.  It's so rewarding to paint a pet or a building (church, inn, home) that have special meaning for an art collector.  Bringing joy to people through art is the best part of my chosen profession.

My favorite subjects are architecture, portraits and collections.  Everybody collects something - shoes, hats, bottles, books, steins...I also enjoy painting scenes that you see everyday in and around the suburbs, cities and rural pastures of Virginia.  I work primarily in acrylics, colored pencils, oils, gouache.
